B. K. S. Iyengar awarded the Padma Vibhushan

The government of India announced over the weekend that it has awarded the Padma Vibhushan, the second highest award of India, to B.K.S. Iyengar.

In response to the announcement Sri Iyengar said “This award goes to all Puneites and the art of yoga. I will continue to encourage people to practice yoga for a healthy body and mind.”
